The library will be closing on Saturday's during the summer. The first closed Saturday is July 7, 2007. The summer hours for the library will be as follows

06/28 DVD List lovers can now pick up the newest, most updated version. It contains all 600+ DVD's and you can take one home today!

06/28 The Wireless internet access along wiht growing DVD popularity has made the papers once again. Passaic Valley Today staff writer Tom Boud delved into the technological community of the DDEPl, which can be found in the June 28, 2007 issue of the Today paper.

06/28.The kickoff party was a total success. Over 350 parents and children visited the library, and participated in the first day of the "Get a Clue" themed summer. 60 children signed up for the reading program, which runs through mid August. Children colored and decorated 3D glasses while parents registered for some of the upcoming programs. A PDF of the summer calendar is available here.

06/26.The library web site has been completely redesigned by pages/webmasters Tom Smith and Matt Coiro. The page's fresh, clean look, is a huge step up from the original web page, which was strictly text and links. The new site went up on the web around 2 pm on the 26th of June. The first web site makeover was last September. Some of the newest features are a comprehensive search bar, a new navigation bar, bright and attractive images, and of course, the home page is available in spanish. Eventually the entire site should be available in Spanish.

06/24 The library is now officially wireless. The wireless service and router have been installed in the adult room, providing access for any patrons who bring in their own laptop. According to Assistant Director Anne Krautheim, the library plans to purchase several wirelessly connected laptops for the children's room, which will be housed in the community. A date for those plans have not been announced. The router can provide internet for up to 25 computers in the building, simultaneously.

The first batch of programs includes Lena Di Gangi's Drawing Classes, the Kickoff Party, and Arts and Crafts.

The summer programs calendar contains all fo the programs, which extend from a Greek culture session for kids, to a bake a cake class, all the way to a Movie Night!
