TOTOWA CARE CABINET
Use your creativity to help those in need!

ABOUT THE INITIATIVE
The Mayor and Council have created an initiative to build a “Care Cabinet” outside our Library where members of our community can “Take What You Need, and Give What You Can.” This “Care Cabinet” will be stocked with anonymous donations of non-perishable food items, basic toiletries, baby supplies, and anything else that might be considered a blessing to someone who finds themselves in need.
The Mayor and Council are partnering with the Totowa Public Library to run a contest for Totowa students 18 years of age and under to design our Care Cabinet! Students are invited to download, print, and decorate one of the provided templates for the Care Cabinet, or draw your own design freehand! Be sure to color your work and fill out the checklist to make sure that your design has everything we will need. Keep in mind that the structure will become a permanent part of the municipal complex for all to admire and enjoy for years to come.
Submit your design by the deadline of March 31, 2021 by scanning your artwork or taking a well-lit photo and emailing it to totowapl@gmail.com with the subject line “Care Cabinet Design Contest. Or send it by mail to:
Borough of Totowa Public Library
537 Totowa Road
Totowa, NJ 07512
Prizes for the top three entries, generously provided by the Totowa Library Foundation, include Visa gift cards worth $50, $100, and $150 respectively! In addition, a plaque will be adhered to the cabinet with the winner’s name.
Let’s use our creativity to improve our community and help those in need! Get started by downloading the templates and checklist at totowapl.org/box
You can also help those in need and contribute to the local Food Drive throughout the months of February and March by donating non-perishable food items, toiletries, and pet supplies. These items will be accepted by Senator Kristen Corrado’s office, as well as the Totowa, Woodland Park, and Little Falls Libraries and will be sent to the St. Agnes Church pantry in Little Falls.
