HOW TO REQUEST MATERIALS
PLACE A DIGITAL HOLD THROUGH OUR ONLINE CATALOG
You will need your Library Card number.
Please note: you can only place holds on items owned by the Totowa Public Library. All other Pals Plus materials are unavailable at this time.
CALL THE LIBRARY BETWEEN
10:00AM AND 4:30PM
A Library staff member will record which books you would like to request for curbside pickup. If the Library is closed or our lines are busy, please leave a voicemail stating your name, phone number, and what you are looking for.
EMAIL THE LIBRARY WITH YOUR REQUESTS
Please email your name, phone number, and what you are looking for. Be as specific as possible when requesting items. Note author, whether it is a DVD or Book...etc.
STAFF WILL PULL YOUR ITEMS
There is a limit of 15 items per card holder.
There is a limit of 4 "NEW" books and 2 "NEW" DVD's.
At this time, we cannot obtain items from other Pals Plus libraries. We will do our best to get you everything requested.
If your requested items are not currently on the shelf, a hold request will be placed on those items through your Library card so that you can be notified when they become available.
STAFF WILL ARRANGE A PICKUP TIME
A staff member will call you to schedule a pickup time when your items are ready. Due to demand and staffing, we cannot guarantee same day pickup.
ARRIVE AT THE LIBRARY AT YOUR SCHEDULE TIME
The Library has designated curbside pickup spaces located in the rear of the Library.
Please call the Library at 973-790-3265 when you are parked in a designated space.
Please be on time for your scheduled pickup.
Pop your trunk and a staff member will place the items in your trunk for a contactless pickup.
RETURNING YOUR MATERIALS
To minimize contact, please use the book drop located at the front of the Library to return all materials.
