Set in the early 1950s, "Brooklyn" follows Eilis Lacey, a young Irish woman who leaves her small hometown in Ireland for a new life in Brooklyn, New York. Eilis struggles with homesickness and the challenges of adjusting to a new culture, but things begin to begin to change when she falls in love.
